Leonardo Azevedo

Bio

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, I have more than 15 years of experience in some of the biggest advertising agencies in Brazil, such as Publicis, Africa Creative, Talent Marcel and others. Throughout this period I had the privilege of working with amazing clients like Nestlé, Heineken, Hershey's, Pfizer, GSK, P&G, Renault, TIM, Santander, Itaú, Brahma, among others.

Passionate about pop culture, photography and art in general, I'm a gearhead who actually prefers a bicycle to explore the world.

Senior Art Director

Since 2021 I've been working at this great agency where I'm glad to contribute in projects for brands like Nestlé, Advil, Sensodyne, ENO Antacid (Thumbs), Heineken, Honda, Invisalign, Bradesco among others.

Clarita (September 2018 - August 2020 )

Creative Director

In 2018 was invited to lead the creative team at Clarita, a communication company born with the creative consultant mindset. The main challenge was to integrate content and creative teams to delivery performance with creative excellence.

Main achievements:
• Setting up the Creative and Content team along with the company foundation.

Africa Creative (april 2014 – September 2018)

Art Director

Shortly after being promoted I received the invitation to work in Africa Creative, one of the biggest and most admired agencies in Brazil. The agency gave me the opportunity to create integrated campaigns for amazing clients like Brahma (AB Inbev), Itaú, Braskem, P&G, 99Taxis, Dr. Oetker, Natura, Qualicorp, Red Balloon and others.

Main achievements:
• 2 bronze trophies at El Ojo de Iberoamérica for Braskem – National Para-Athlete Day
• Winning the pitch for Natura Cosmetics.
• Creating "Myth or Fact" for Itaú. A project that began as merchandising spots on TV and became a huge multi-platform success. The client was so pleased that he asked for a second season, with more episodes than the first one.


Ínsula/NeogamaBBH (April 2014 – October 2014)

Art Director

During the time I was in Neogama/BBH my work caught the attention of Insula, a business unit inside Neogama/BBH. The team needed an art director and so I was promoted!

On this new role I worked for Embratur, Renault, Herbalife and Brookfield Real State.


NeogamaBBH (January 2013 – April 2014)

Assistant Art Director

After three years at Talent Marcel I was invited to join the Neogama/BBH team. There I had the opportunity to work for clients like TIM, Renault, Unilever, Mentos, Johnny Walker (Diageo) among others.

Main achievement:
• Shortlisted at Young Lions Brazil Competition.


Talent Marcel (January 2010 – January 2013)

Assistant Art Director

After been through some small agencies, in 2010 I joined Talent agency as art assistant. And what an agency! For 3 years I worked side by side with some of the greatest professionals in advertising, saw the agency win an unprecedented Radio GP (Cannes) and took part in numerous campaigns and pitches for clients like Santander, Sony, Personal (Santher), Heineken (Femsa), Topper, among others. While giving assistance for the art directors in the everyday campaigns, I was running parallel proposing ideas for our clients and working towards my goal of becoming an Art Director.

Main achievements:
• Personal Toilet Paper (Santher) campaing selected by Lürzer's Archive Magazine.
• Gold in the Outdoor Central's Award with "Planted Billboard", for Santander.
